The modern technique of "Structural Osteopathy and Soft Chiropractic"
The well-renowned and now also world-known Ackermann College was founded by Dr. W. P. Ackermann, in 1974 in Stockholm, Sweden. Exact chiropractic diagnosis and treatment techniques
The course in structural osteopathy and soft chiropractic according to Dr. Ackermann’s theory is a supplementary training for therapists with undergraduate studies in anatomy and physiology. Some examples of professionals coming to us are doctors and physiotherapists. All teaching is done in small groups of five to eight students per teacher and is designed to give each student maximum practical knowledge. We want all our students to master the exact chiropractic diagnosis and targeted treatment that are the trademarks of the training course.
During this training course you will learn the cause and effect of back pain and target treatment technique. We offer a crash course where you learn how to achieve the chiropractor’s efficient and often instantaneous result. Each treatment grip is discussed with anatomical material, skeleton models, radiographs and patients and you also get individual guidance in each special grip - all to ensure the quality of education. By learning the targeted chiropractic diagnostic and treatment technique that Dr. Ackermann advocates, you can achieve amazing results with your patients. The course content is based on four decades of research and practical experience, and has been thoroughly tested. About the education
Our learning objectives
Our objective is to provide you with in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge in an osteopathic and chiropractic treatment concept that you can target to treat functional disorders in the spine and joints. After completing a basic training course, you will immediately feel secure in using the techniques at your own clinic.
Practical training
After completing your basic training course, your teachers will be available to support you in your practice of the Ackermann method and after six months you can take our continuation course – the master course. After you have passed the written and practical exam you will receive the Master of Chiropractic Diploma.
We also offer refresher training for anyone wanting to maintain their knowledge and skills and recommend this be taken every other year. There is also an honorary diploma after three years of clinical practice, specific additional courses and approval by the Ackermann College, which can lead to a qualified teacher status in the Ackermann method.
Bullet list – Crash course
In our basic course you will learn an osteopathic and chiropractic treatment concept that you can use in a systematic and targeted way to treat functional disorders on the spine and joints.
We will cover and teach you about the spine’s biomechanics, pelvis, lumbar spine, specific diagnosis, palpation and diagnostic tests. We also cover the topic seconds’ phenomenon and casual chains of cause and effect, the most efficient treatment techniques, thoracic spine, shoulder girdle and cervical spine.
During the course we will also talk about and teach more about limb joints, discuss clinical cases, differential diagnoses, diagnostic radiology and last but not least, holistic treatment.
