You will learn an osteopathic and chiropractic treatment concept which you can use in a goal-oriented manner to treat functional disturbances of the vertebral and extremity joints. Upon completion of the basic course you will immediately be able to begin therapy in your clinical practice with great success!
After the basic course we recommend you to perform clinical training using the Ackermann Method in your own practice. During your clinical training you will have the opportunity to contact your teachers for questions on request. After at least six months of clinical practice using the Ackermann Method in your own practice you have the opportunity to attend the “Master course”.
For participants who have practiced on their own according to the Ackermann-method for at least 6 months after the basic course. At this course level you will deepen your knowledge within the Ackermann-Method and learn additional Techniques. You will receive a compendium for the advanced course level.
An exam (theoretical and practical) will be held during the advanced course to evaluate your knowledge and skills at this level. After passing the exams you will receive the diploma “Master of Chiropractic according to Dr. Ackermann” (non-academic degree). This title, which has been awarded for more than 40 years now, is a certificate for the qualification of the Ackermann-Method.
For those students who have completed the basic course and work experience according to the Ackermann method for a minimum of six months, can apply for their masters title. In order to do so, you have to take our continuation course and when successfully pass the theoretical and practical exam you will be awarded the title and Master of Chiropractic diploma.
This diploma, that has been awarded to students at the Ackermann College for forty years, is proof that you have passed the continuation course that is founded on the Ackermann method. You are therefore qualified to work with patients according to these theories. Note that the diploma should not be confused with a university diploma.
For Ackermann College, it is of great importance that our students offer top level treatments to their patients seeking help for problems with their back, joints and muscles. We therefore offer refresher training that we recommend our students to take at minimum every other year. This is in order to keep the theoretical knowledge up to date and to ensure that the practical skills required for treatments in the Ackermann method are always of the highest quality.
Former Masters students who have worked clinically according to the Ackermann method for a minimum of three years can apply for an honorary diploma from the Ackermann College. To receive this diploma, you have to pass a specific additional course and after successful completion, you could in combination with a personal agreement with the institute, get an authorised teacher status in the Ackermann method. This is a very advantageous opportunity for anyone who wishes to develop further and increase their status and options in the Ackermann method.
